The idyllic Bistensee

What awaits you:

Welcome to Bistensee, a hidden gem in the Hüttener Berge Nature Park that will enchant you with its natural beauty and history.

The rolling hills that rise around the Bistensee were formed during the last ice age around 10,000 years ago, when glaciers shaped the land. Today, they offer breathtaking views over the deep blue waters of the lake. A stop at "Rathjens Depot" is worthwhile to immerse yourself in the past and discover antiques and vintage items that have been lovingly selected to revive times gone by.

A walk through the adjacent forest offers a unique experience that rarely brings you so close to the water. The trail leads through picturesque landscapes and ends at the idyllic "Seeterrassen" café in the village of the same name. Here you can relax with a cappuccino while the children play in the playground. From the old wooden bench on the shore, you have the best view of Lake Bistensee and can enjoy a delicious "Packeis Kieler Mandel" from the farm store.

Enjoy the peace and beauty of the Bistensee and let yourself be enchanted by its natural splendor. Visit us during your stay at Seehotel Töpferhaus and discover the untouched nature and picturesque landscape of Lake Bistensee.
