Up on the saddle...

What awaits you:

Let's go on an exciting bike tour through Alt Duvenstedt, the Fockbecker Moor, Hohn, Elsdorf-Westermühlen, Nübbel, Rendsburg, Borgstedt, Klein Wittensee and Holzbunge! That sounds like quite a long route, doesn't it? But don't worry, we have a tip for you: It's best to download the route "Obereiderblick Büdelsdorf - Wittensee Runde" from Komoot to find the most beautiful paths. And the best thing is: thanks to our modern e-bikes, you can enjoy the tour even if you're not a professional cyclist.

You will be guided through varied landscapes, from forests and fields to wild nature, where the sound of the woodpecker is louder than the path itself. But it's not just nature that will impress you. There is also plenty to discover in the small villages along the route. Visit Regina Miethke's Hohner studio, where her love of the sea and nature is expressed in her oil and acrylic paintings. Or stroll through the Fockbeck village museum and immerse yourself in the agricultural work of times gone by.

And if you get hungry, make a stop in Elsdorf-Westermühlen and treat yourself to a break in Karen Orlowski's ice cream kitchen. Her homemade "Elsdorf ice cream" is worth every effort on the saddle, without any flavorings or additives. So, get on your bikes, get set, go - experience the best of Schleswig-Holstein on this exciting tour!

Destination: Elsdorf-Westermühlen

Circuit: approx. 59 km

Weather suitability: Who likes cycling in the rain... so you'd better get a weather forecast

Children: This tour is definitely too long for the youngest under their own power...

Dog: ...and you shouldn't expect your four-legged friend to do the circuit either

Nature/culture/sport: fitness is required - but you'll have a wonderful combination of scenic and historical impressions and plenty of exercise

Duration: You should allow at least five hours - after all, you're not on the run and want to stop off along the way

Getting around: Designed as a bike tour, the same vehicle is also recommended

Local's tip: Those with a sweet tooth should definitely make a stop at the Café auf dem Rosenhof in Hohn - not only because of the splendor of the flowers, but also because of the always surprising cakes that Sabine Cetin serves in the former cowshed, which is as charming as it is quaintly furnished

Tour combination: If you take a whole day, you can explore the city while driving through Rendsburg
