Schleswig by the fjord

What awaits you:

Schleswig, a city rich in history and charm, invites you on a voyage of discovery. There is a lot to explore and experience here in Schleswig-Holstein - without the stress of big cities.

Immerse yourself in the fascinating history of Schleswig, which stretches back centuries. There is a famous saying that only a few could really understand the complex history of this region. But instead of being put off by this complexity, it is worth discovering the numerous historical treasures.

An absolute highlight is the imposing Gottorf Castle, once the residence of the Dukes of Schleswig-Holstein-Gottorf. Today it houses an impressive state museum that offers insights into the art and culture of the region. However, it is not only the castle that is worth a visit, but also other historical sites such as the Romanesque St. Peter's Cathedral and the 13th century Grey Monastery.

Schleswig is not only known for its historic buildings, but also for its picturesque charm. The small cobbled streets and the densely packed houses in the former fishing colony of Holm transport visitors back in time. A stroll through these charming streets, past the whitewashed chapel of the lovingly tended cemetery, makes you believe that time has stood still here.

Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and discover the beauty of Schleswig during your stay at the Seehotel Töpferhaus. From historical sites to picturesque streets, Schleswig offers something for everyone.
