The vastness of the Baltic Sea up close

What awaits you:

How about a day full of sea air and panoramic views in picturesque Schwedeneck? Located between Eckernförde Bay and Kiel Fjord, this region offers endless panoramas of forests, fields and, above all, the Baltic Sea.

For those looking for peace and relaxation, a trip to Surendorf is just the thing. Stroll along the beach towards Dänisch Nienhof and enjoy the almost deserted sandy beach. But if you are looking for adventure and spectacular views, then the high shore trail to Bülk lighthouse is your choice. Experience the breathtaking cliffs, the interplay of wind and clouds and let your mind wander in the beech forests. Once you arrive in Bülk, you can fortify yourself with Belgian waffles and refreshing drinks in the lighthouse pavilion before heading back along the coast. Whether over hill and dale, shells, sand or seaweed - the view of the endless sea will accompany you.

By the way, did you know that Sweden and Denmark fought for supremacy in Northern Europe here at the beginning of the 18th century? It is rumored that the fallen Swedish soldiers were buried in this area, which could explain the origin of the name of this rather Danish-influenced corner.
